IYNC 2012

Already a tradition in the international landscape, IYNC (International Youth Nuclear Congress) and the North American Young Generation Network (NA-YGN) are pleased to announce the organization of the 7th International  Youth in Nuclear Congress, which will take place in Charlotte, North America , during 5-11 August 2012.

IYNC2012

The conference integrates itself in a challenging global context which is focused on the use of nuclear energy more than ever after the accident at Fukushima power plant and also in the framework of the nuclear renaissance in many developing countries and world powers as well. IYNC 2012 will offer the opportunity to share knowledge, experience, best practices and information about nuclear energy between generations and also between peers in the on going mission to promote the peaceful use of nuclear power.
The conference will include topics such as:

  •   Core Design, Simulation and Modeling

The plenary session will be accompanied by interactive workshops. The conference also has an informal part, providing the participants the opportunity to create contacts, adding to their career. Technical tours will be organized to American power plants, facilities for medical applications and fuel fabrication plants.

The conference is opened to individuals and youth organizations involved and concerned with the nuclear fuel cycle developments and technologies in the world, teachers, scientist, students, researchers and others. Abstracts are due by September 2011 and registration and early papers are expected starting in March 2012.
